Job description

About Terramira

Terramira is a new force in Earth Intelligence, born from the combined expertise of NEO, eLEAF, and 52impact.

We convert satellite and sensor data into actionable information for challenges such as climate change, water scarcity, biodiversity, and infrastructure. Our clients – from agribusinesses and water authorities to international organizations and governments – need insights that enable better decisions. That's exactly what we deliver.

At Terramira, we believe that impact starts with clear vision. We make impact visible. And we make it achievable.

We are a growing organization with short lines of communication, an open culture, and a sincere drive to do work that matters. If you want to contribute to solutions that truly make a difference for organizations, people, and the planet, then you will feel right at home here.

About the Role

As part of a diverse team of developers, you will work on projects and services focused on geo-information and earth observation data. Our unique datasets are made available through various APIs, and we also offer different channels to make insights accessible to a wide range of clients.

All these solutions share some common characteristics:

  • The datasets are vast;

  • They can be geographically positioned on a map;

  • They need to reach clients quickly, securely, and reliably.

In this role, you will work on a wide range of projects within the organization, with a focus on databases, APIs, and (vector) geodata. This is the ideal position for someone who enjoys solving complex problems independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues. You will actively contribute to the further growth of our company and have plenty of room for initiative.

Do you want to help discover new insights from large amounts of diverse earth observation data? Join our team and make your mark!

What will you do?

You will contribute to our codebase, work on a wide range of projects, and automate the production of data offered through our API. Additionally, you will manage, maintain, and further develop our API to process hundreds of thousands of requests as efficiently as possible. You will also ensure integration with our platform and other R&D initiatives, such as our geo-enabled agent.

Lastly, you will share your specialized knowledge with the team and collaborate to deliver unique insights to our clients based on our extensive collection of geodata.
